Category B: Roads 70km and over (often described as rural

This course combines Category A and B together in a one and a half day (1.5) course to provide trainees the best learning tailored to each category that often overlaps in the field. If you only need one category only, please reach out to us.

 

 

Day 1: Category A - theory class-based training (up to 8 hours):

Those who successfully complete the STMS CAT A NP workshop will be awarded the STMS (A) - NP qualification. This is for Unit Standard 31962 and they can further enrol to obtain their practicing qualification if desired.

 

Day 2: Category B - theory class-based training (up to 4 hours):

Those who successfully complete the STMS CAT B NP workshop will be awarded the STMS (B) - NP qualification. This is for Unit Standard 31962 and they can further enrol to obtain their practicing qualification if desired.

 

Outcomes for this learning:

At the end of this workshop the participant will know:

  • The key requirements for category A+B roads
  • How to locate information in the CoPTTM relating to category A+B roads

Prerequisites

There are no mandatory prerequisites for this course, however we highly recommend having:

  • STMS - Universal NP
  • or STMS of any level or category
